Ashbel Smith Distinguished Alumnus Awards
The Ashbel Smith Distinguished Alumnus Award is the highest alumni honor bestowed by the university’s School of Medicine Alumni Association. The award, recognizes outstanding service to the medical profession and to humanity and honors the memory of Dr. Smith.

The Betty Lee Evans Nursing Excellence Award
The Betty Lee Evans Nursing Excellence Award honors graduates of a recognized nursing program at UTMB who have made outstanding contributions to healthcare in the UTMB System.
School of Nursing Hall of Fame
The UTMB School of Nursing Alumni Association Hall of Fame honors alumni who have made significant contributions to nursing through commitment to excellence in patient care, community service and nursing leadership. Nominees must be graduates of a recognized nursing program at UTMB.
School of Nursing Distinguished Alumnus Award
The School of Nursing Alumni Association Distinguished Alumnus Award is presented to one alumnus of the UTMB School of Nursing who has made outstanding and widely recognized contributions to nursing in a leadership role. Nominees must be graduates of a recognized program in Nursing at UTMB.

The Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences Distinguished Alumnus Award is presented annually to a graduate who has made major contributions in the area of service, involvement and leadership or has achieved special recognition in his or her career.
