The Texas Medical Association Foundation (TMAF) appointed Beaumont neurosurgeon Mark J. Kubala, MD, to its Board of Trustees. TMAF is the philanthropic arm of the nation’s largest state medical society.
Dr. Kubala is a founder of the TMA Foundation and served as its first and fourth president. He is a leader in organized medicine and a past president of TMA and the Texas Association of Neurological Surgeons. Service to community and the medical profession have earned Dr. Kubala numerous accolades, including TMA’s, the American Medical Association’s, and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons’ distinguished service award, each association’s highest honor. He earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB) and is a UTMB Ashbel Smith Distinguished Alumnus. Dr. Kubala is in private practice and has been practicing medicine for 48 years.
